So I was giving some of my stuff away on Craigslist. Get an email from one guy, arrange to meet him at the grocery store. Mentioned he'd be in one of the internet company vans.

I meet him at the store. Turns out, he was in my apartment almost exactly a week ago getting my internet fixed. It's a small world, for sure.

And I think I can actually get away with only buying Dr Pepper when it's on sale five for twelve bucks. Every time I get low, I see it for sale in one or another grocery store. Note, however, that in one particular store, it's *four* for twelve unless you grab the coupon up front. I should stop drinking it, but I can't. I've tried. Several times. There are worse addictions, though.

My cats love Dr Pepper boxes, though. They can play in them, on them, around them, through them, and if they feel like it, chew on them with no repercussions. Zo is still small enough to fit in one, although it's a bit...tight.

From C.:

"I knew seeing this movie [earth] with two biologists was a bad idea!"

Not to mention that she was squished between said biologists. Myself on one side and her marine biologist sister on the other. Between us we had a running commentary. It would've been worse, but there were other people in the theater so we were keeping it down.

My, Earth really is full of things...

Etsy is the best thing to happen to shopping, ever.

Here's some stuff that I want:

Sushi cat toys
Eyeball cat toys
And last, but not least...
Kitty Titty cat toys

If I had the money, I would only outfit myself and my cats with things from Etsy.

Fox: So yea, the inside of my car is soaked.
E.: Well, that sucks.
Fox: Yeah, but it could be worse. The Blockbuster sign didn't fall on it.
E.: *pauses* That's very true.

So today I walked into my bedroom and saw a big black thing sprawled out on the bed.

I was all "OMG KITTY YAY."

And then I realized it was my sweatshirt.

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in my life.

Yay I found a recipe for crock pot baby-back ribs!

So after the tortilla soup, it's baby back ribs, and then possibly turkey chili (since I have a pound of ground turkey I don't know what to do with).

Now, if only I knew what to do with all the breaded chicken. 0_o There's a lot of it. And still a bunch of popcorn chicken, too.

EDIT: HOW'S THE FUCKING WEATHER?

IT'S FUCKING NICE.

So the coworker at the pizza place I like least left today. But not before leaving me with this little gem:

*Fox works oven*
Fox: "Order up for Edgar! ...Allen Poe, I can only hope...that would be awesome."
Co-worker: "I have a hard time seeing you as a Poe fan."
Fox: "You're joking, right?"
Co-worker: "No...I just don't."

Then I remembered, oh, right, you guys only see me for fifteen hours a week and that fifteen hours is in uniform, with clear glasses.

That is the first time I've been described as "not really gothy" by someone who doesn't know me all that well. I usually get "OMG GOTH," which just goes to show that no one in this little podunk town has ever actually *seen* a goth. EDIT: Or a Goth, for that matter.

"Cat Fancier's Association Active cat cuddle & burrow bed is 18" in diameter with plenty of stretching room for the more than average cat in your life."

"More than average" is the perfect description for the Catmeat.

Sadly, the premise is better than the execution.

Still made me laugh, though.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, (ie, S. Office Manager Edition wasn't there before work yesterday), I turned in my two week resignation today.

She wasn't surprised and didn't ask many questions as to why...apparently she noticed that I tended to get irritable and snappish at the end of the day, and since her sister works with me at TPS, she probably also knows that I am not irritable and snappish there. She's a smart woman, unlike the customer who asked me "How much will ten pounds of the $2.99/lb hamburger meat cost?"

I told her about my interview and she was happy, so it ended on a good note.

Anyway.

Weird and random text messages Fox has stashed on her phone. )
